Renowned for its exceptional depth of color and robust flavors, Petite Sirah has remained a well-kept secret in many of California’s top red wines. In the sandy soils and climate of Lodi, the fruit thrives, harmoniously balancing Petite Sirah’s bold and opulent nature. The result is a delicious wine.

Marian’s Vineyard is a revered 8.3-acre own-rooted vineyard planted in 1901 at Mohr-Fry Ranch and named for Marian Mohr Fry Zimmerman, the Fry family matriarch. Marian’s deep sandy loam soil is extremely well drained producing low yields of exceptional quality fruit. The vineyard is meticulously farmed by Jerry and Bruce Fry of Mohr-Fry Ranch. Winemaking follows the Lodi Native approach utilizing minimal intervention, beginning with native yeast, no new oak, and a natural approach designed to highlight the distinct attributes of this historic vineyard.

This is the 9th vintage of our Trousseau, a relatively obscure variety native to the Jura region of France. The 2021 Trousseau is characteristically light in color with a distinct spicy cherry quality. It’s very much on an ugly duckling variety – at first glance it doesn’t look like much, but after tasting it has depth of complexity. 

This noble Spanish grape has found a natural home at our Amador County ranch producing a well-structured red wine with aromas of spice, tobacco, and dark fruits. It has a ripe mouth coating texture, and delicious flavors that linger on the finish.

A new wine! 20 years in the making. In 2001 we produced our first Tempranillo. Over the years, we’ve perfected our viticulture and refined our winemaking to release our first Tempranillo Reserve. Produced from our best vineyard block, our vision was clear: to craft and create a Tempranillo of unparalleled excellence. The best grapes, the best barrels and the best blend all coming together in a wine of extraordinary quality. Our Tempranillo Reserve is a wine of bold character, full-bodied, with an astonishing depth of color, robust flavors, and enticing herbal aromatics. This wine will reward extended cellaring.
