A story of hardship and success, a story of hard work and craft, a story of family, farming, and friends. For nearly 50 years, our wines have been telling these stories.
At the Leading Edge of Lodi’s Artisan Wine Movement
Crafting classic wines from California’s heritage varieties. 100-year-old Zinfandel, Barbera, Petite Sirah, and Alicante Bouschet from Lodi’s sandy soils.
In 1996 Jerry Fry loaned us 7-tons of beautiful old vine zinfandel after our vineyard died of phylloxera. Nearly 30 years later, our Moh-Fry Ranches Zinfandel has won countless awards, has become our flagship wine, and has set the standard for Lodi Zinfandel.
When everyone else was planting Cabernet, we planted Touriga Nacional, Tempranillo and Bastardo. We don’t chase trends; we grow grapes and make wines we believe in.
This noble Spanish grape has found a natural home at our Amador County ranch producing a well-structured red wine with aromas of spice, tobacco, and dark fruits.
Bootleg Port is blend of six Portuguese varieties planted in our Amador County vineyard. A ruby-styled port wine that expresses bright fresh fruit flavors, delicious concentration, and a rich finish that lingers on the palate.
